UPD AT E: It got so much worse! I blame the rain, really, though having the second highest pollen count in 30 years probably helped.
Oh, did I mention it looks 10x worse in person? Yeaaaaaaaah.
I’m sure it will all come off with a pressure washer, since I drove it like max four times since I last washed it three weeks ago. See below to disc over how naive I was.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ! Before a drove it just several days ago it was also covered with these terrible little gross seeds this disgusting scrub tree drops everywhere. I have to admit that the rain only exacerbated the situation, covering the bottom half in mud, dirt and sand.
Just checking in on Oppo. My plan for today is to wash my dad’s truck for him, which is quite filthy. It certainly needs it more than my car and I really need some catharsis right about now, not to mention that the weather is perfect. What is your plan for this Friday?

What is so shocking about the complete destruction that our mutual enemy in green has wreaked upon us? It just hit me particularly hard, which is a good enough excuse for Cruze Content.

That's a lot of plant sex on your car.

That’s. . . a way to look at it. The plants haven’t stopped either, and those blasted fa cilitators of the act, the bees, are buzzing everywhere. Basically, it gets worse every minute but is hard to photograph the scope of the devastation and ruin.

We got snow instead.

At least pollen doesn’t lead to salt trucks spraying I nsta-R ust™ on the roads. Mostly harmless pollen is easier to clean than salt too (I’ve never cleaned salt but I’m assuming). I know which blight I would take.

Rust. Don’t talk to me about rust.

I hate pollen with the fire of a thousand suns.

Yes, that Explorer is parked terribly. It’s a delivery car.

Not bad, not bad. By luck of the draw tree I ended up with the worst of it. Only one more month of this.
I guess delivery vehicles are given free rein of the entire road network right now so you can’t blame him too much.

That’s one thing I don’t miss about living in a pine forest.

Snoogens! At least that’s what we call them. I have an absolutely glorious oak tree that shades my driveway, but every spring I have to put up with the scourge of the snoogens. It amazes me 1) how many of them there are, and 2) how they manage to get themselves into every tiny crack and crevice of our cars.

Depends on the manufacturer. Mazdas used to disintegrate after a couple of years of winter weather.

I parked my M3 outside of my girlfriend’s parent’s house on Sunday for a few hours and now it’s covered in pollen.

My parents had a tree that littered pollen like that. A n ice storm in late ‘13 solved that issue!
They were very happy, since it was technically a city tree and they weren’t allowed to touch it.

Thank god I don’t have allergies :) can’t say the same for my wife and friends though...

I sneezed just looking at that

This was rinse and repeat with all the rain. A good pressure washing usually takes the worst of it off.

YEEEEEEEEEEES I HATE THEM SO MUCH I NEVER DIGNIFIED THEM WITH A NAME!
That name perfectly sums up their (a) ubiquity and (b) unpleasantness. When they decompose they are impossible to clean up, which I guess is kinda the point.
